Visual perception of objects, space, and motion; perceptual learning: applications to education, skill acquisition, and educational technology; and perceptual and cognitive processes in aviation and driving.
Rachel is interested in biological motion, perception of mental states, and the influence of visual phenomena on social interaction.
Everett Mettler, Ph.D.
Everett is a postdoc in the Kellman lab. He studies learning at the intersection of perception and cognition. Specifically, his research concerns perceptual learning, education, skill acquisition, and educational technology.
Carolyn is a fourth year graduate student. Her research interests include perceptual learning, its applications to education, and music perception.
Suzy is a third year graduate student in the Cognitive Psychology program. She is interested in object perception and recognition. Her current research focuses on contour interpolation and perception of partially occluded objects.
Nick is a second year graduate student in the Computational Cognition program. His research interests relate to shape and object perception and recognition.
Tim is interested in computer-based learning, optimization of learning, and perceptual learning modules.
Dara is an interface designer. With special expertise in responsive design, he creates interfaces that are both beautiful and accessible. His work relies on user-centered design principles to produce high-quality visuals—from concept to execution—across desktop and mobile platforms. Dara is a UCLA Design Media Arts alumni.
